On Saturday, October 23rd, Lions Sue, Cathy, Joe, Helen and Penny met at Lion Sue’s home to conquer (organize and bag) the huge pile of donated cans and bottles in their yard and to sort the approximately 350 eyeglasses that had been left at various collection boxes in the community over the last several months.
At a celebration gathering on June 6th, District Governor Gary Mose presented a Crystal Lion to Doby Fugate. Doby is leaving La Pine to be closer to family. He has been a wonderful supporter of the La Pine Lions Club over the past few years. He will be greatly missed.
The Convention may be cancelled, but… Even though we’re not meeting together, we are still proceeding with our Service Projects. We have several childhood cancer service projects for you to participate in. We plan to collect these items the end of May. Please hold onto them until then. We will have further instruction regarding collection.
